Reasons Adam was
the Luckiest Man
  1. He is the only man who has never been compared to the man she could have married.

  2. He had no in-laws to drop in.

  3. There were no Jones for him to keep up with.

  4. There were no credit cards OR shopping centres.

  5. He never had his dinner interrupted by window salesmen.

  6. He got away with wearing a simple wardrobe.

  7. He never had to shovel snow!

  8. If he had gone bald, who would have known that wasn’t normal.

  9. There was no “standard weight and height” tables – and the word FAT meant good.

  10. When God asked “Adam, where are you?” He replied, “The woman you gave me was reading the map.”

Nursery Verse

Each class in the Church School was asked to select a Bible verse that somehow reflected the theme and character of the class — even the church nursery was asked to participate.

This assignment puzzled the nursery workers…until they lit upon 1 Corinthians 15:51 — “We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed…”

Thou Shalt Not Park

Jack Gremillion tells of the minister who parked in a no-parking zone and left this note on his windshield:

“I have circled this block 10 times. I have an appointment to keep. Forgive us our trespasses.”

When he returned to his car, this reply was attached to a parking ticket:

“I’ve circled this block for 10 years. If I don’t give you a ticket, I lose my job. Lead us not into temptation.”
